Mustard yellow

It's that time of year when i start looking for hair bands again, anything to keep loose strands out of my eyes.

This is made with cotton jersey and i just couldn't resist the colour.

i'm finally managing to get some solstice/christmas/new year gifts out. they'll be in the mail shortly and once the recipients have them, i can spill the beans on what they actually are.

pajama day

I found some pj pants at the swap - blue and covered in construction trucks - and didn't discover they were 100% polyester until Eily had fallen head over heels in love with them. the only way to get them off was to promise a new, better pair. so off we went to the fabric store on the afternoon of the weather "bomb" that was to hit southern ontario, one week before halloween when university guys were trying to figure out how much pink chenille they would need for their pillow custome. needless to say: terrible timing. but Eily found some fabric and when I showed him the finished product after he came home from school yesterday, he practically jumped out of his jeans to get in them. I believe his perfect day would be an all day pajama day.

puzzles

I've been working on some cotton pieces similar to the way I've worked with wool for skirts and sweaters. These are short-sleeved with small to elaborate cowl necks. They're like puzzles which I have to find the best way to put together to get the most out of the fabric.
