it's headband season. this morning's run reminded me of the many times in the car with the summer wind coming in the open window and blowing my wisps of hair everywhere. i have this great purple headband that i've wanted to copy in other colours. it stays on so well because of the extra long elastic piece on the bottom, which turns out quite lumpy on thicker fabric but i couldn't resist these colours. It's a polyester and wool blend, from a piece out of a old book of sample tie fabrics. i want to try some cottons too...i have some batik material and white eyelet on the sewing table ready to go. Eily's in bed early tonight with no nap today so I might go back to it.
