Cobweb crewel

I tried a crewel piece of queen ann's lace for our frame side table and it turned out much too busy. A simple trio of embroidered spider webs and stars looks much better.

This, on the other hand, I'm happy with. These sleeves were perfect for sloves, nice and stretchy, but a little too boring on their own. I only added a poppy to one.
Today is a day of two posts. Thankfully, we don't get internet at the cottage though I usually need one visit to the Southampton library. This past weekend was rather low-key with the cooler weather and the cold I got on Saturday. I have no more energy left.
